I took a small bus over very rough roads to cross from Chișinău Moldova to Iasi, Romania; this is a 3 hour journey plus an hour at the border. Shortly after I arrived I was swarmed by giant black birds (just like the movie) and then attacked by a dog! Life is an adventure!
