My Travel Gear
A few people have asked about my travel gear given I’m trying to live my life as a permanent traveler for months and/or years at a time. Below is my current list of gear:
1. Carry on size rolling suitcase from Recardo loaded with the following items
- 3 pairs of pants (zippered convertible pants, dress jeans, and black dress pants)
- 3 button up shirts (two long sleeve and one short sleeve) these are cotton, but wrinkle friendly
- 5 t-shirts (quick dry poly from underarmor and 8 layer)
- 7 pairs of socks
- 7 pairs underwear
- zippered R1 jacket from REI
- zippered rain hard shell from Arcteryx
- European style scarf
- 1 pair fashion type athletic shoes
- 1 pair black dress shoes
- 1 pair of rubber sandals
- 1 straw type hat
- medium sized towel (abandoned the super absorbent towel that only lasted a couple weeks before shredding
Computer backpack from Swissgear
- 13 inch Macbook Pro
- iPad 2
- Canon Powershot 1300 digital camera w/ gorilla flexible mini tripod (also have waterproof scuba case not with me on this trip)
- various power cables and converters
- Android smart phone (w local SIM card) and backup generic GSA dumb phone
- Slim plastic accordion file folder with some paperwork
- Two mini notebooks and some pens
- Business cards
- LCD mini flashlight/compass/radio combo
- Medium size padlock
- Computer security cable & lock (not used this yet)
- Bathroom Toilet Kit that folder open and can hang from a hook (goes inside my backpack while traveling) w typical bathroom stuff
